any experience with Outlaw 1050 and Marantz sr7000?

Hullo,
I'd appreciate any advice from people who have experience with Outlaw's 1050 receiver compared to a Marantrz sr7000. I've auditioned the marantz and like it a lot but I keep hearing that the Outlaw is a better performer, producing a more natural sound. Both are withing my budget range so right now im looking to see which one really is the better piece for my system. Im concerned about the 65 watts that the Outlaw puts out -- I know that specs are deceiving and that 65 watts out may be really quite the same as the 100 that the marantz puts out. Any opinions?
The receivers will be hooked up to Platinum Audio 806's all around with an old Acoustic Research subwoofer (S12HO, 150 watts, 12 inch).
I live in an apartment so the living room is actually very open even though I've sectioned the listening area to around 14x14.
