Mitsubishi service codes - need info, please!

I have a 35" Mitsubishi CS-35303 and know how to enable the service codes. How can I find out what each of the 3-letter codes do? Mitsubishi is no help. They say that the service manual does not cover this. The TV is 3 years old and out of warranty.

The problem I am trying to fix is smeared and blurred detail, particularly in text. This all happened when the TV apparently lost all it's configuration info, resulting in a picture reduced in size and badly pincushioned.
