Question abaut 16ohm center channel taps

208.234.88.4

Can anyone tell me if connecting a 4ohm(KEF 105/3)speaker to the 16ohm center channel terminals on a denon receiver will do any damage to receiver or speaker? The receiver has 2 sets of terminals for center and the speaker is bi-wirable,so if I connect the HF/MF section of the speaker to one set of terminals ans the LF to the other would it lighten the load on the receiver? The receiver has only 16ohm terminals for center channel and this is the speaker I need to use!It does have a pre-out for the center, should I use the pre-out and a seperate amp?
thanks for any help!
