If I read your response correctly, you are saying that component video produces less blacks (contrast) ? I ask, because I guess I'm one of those people who like deep blacks/contrast, since I enjoy a lot of Sci-Fi movies. I am considering going the component route to my front projector because I thought it would provide deeper/richer colors than s-video. However, if I am going to loose contrast, I may reconsider.
