Cal SSP 2500 Vs. Proceed AVP

I am currently in between getting a california audio labs ssp 2500 and a proceed avp. I love them both, but I've heard them on such different gear that its really hard for me to compare them. Leaning towards the cal right now, mainly for the pronto remote (kind of weak I know but the little things make the difference). Any way was wondering if anyone had tried them out side-by-side.
