TV Recomandations?

I'm looking to buy either a 32 or 36 direct view TV next weekend and there are so many options out there that I desperately need some recommendations.

Price limit is about a grand, although I could stretch a little bit on that. I'll be using this solely as a monitor so my only need and S-vid. input.

Any ideas of what I should be looking at/for?
