Panasonic TU-DST50 HD decoder

I need to find someone who has a Panasonic TU-DST50 Decoder. I am considering buying one, but I need to know what kind of inputs/outputs are on it. I am trying to find out how to receive a HDTV Satellite signal from DirecTV and record it onto a Panasonic PV-HD1000 D-VHS recorder through a IEEE 1394 connection that can be found on both units. My inital solution was to run a signal from a RCA DTC100 receiver to the Panasonic decoder so that I could take advantage of the 1394 interface, but to get the signal from the RCA unit to the Panasonic decoder, I'm pretty sure that it has to convert it to analog to send the signal which defeats the purpose of the 1394 interface.
Any suggestions?
