My suggestion:
HT Receiver: Rotel 965-$1000 or Onkyo 575x $450
The Rotel is going to offer your better overall sound, but at a higher cost. I use the Onkyo for my HT setup and am very happy with the HT performance. However, I do not use it for audio, you should listen to it and see if it meets your musical needs. If so you have more $$ to spend on new cables, interconnects, stands, etc.
Pioneer DVD 333 (okay it is only a one disk, but a great value) $225
B&W 602s2 fronts-$450
B&W CC6 conter-$350
B&W 302 rear-$250 (or less)
B&W ASW300-$350
B&W Front Stands $90
I also like the Analysis Plus Oval 12 speaker cable.
