Re: Outlaw receiver, or NAD 760???

I recommend you forget the T760 if favour of the newer T751. AFAIK they sound identical. The differences are that the T751 allows the use of a sub in stereo mode and has true analog bypass in stereo, which is good for anyone with a good quality DAC or a turntable. The Outlaw only allows analog bypass on its six-channel input (intended for DVD-A or multichannel SACD). One thing I like about the Outlaw is that it has both preamp outs and power amp ins. The sixth channel is irrelevant to me, but might be a plus for some people.

I'm afraid I can't help you resolve the sound quality issue. I've been waiting to hear from someone who's compared them. I was told by a dealer friend yesterday that the NAD A/V receivers sound better than the $3000 Yamaha (he sells both brands) He was not trying to sell me an NAD, because I've owned the T751 for several months. I find it's quite amazing for the money, and very musical.
