URGENT! Help needed for error message on DD receiver.

Hi all, I just got an used DD receiver Marantz SR685, but when I first turned it on, an error message saying "ERROR NO.02" appeared on the display!!! It stayed on for about 30 seconds, then the receiver turned itself off. No sound from start to end. Does any body know what the problem is? Is the receiver defective? Can it be easily fixed? Or is there something that I have missed? I check all setup and manual but I can't fix the problem. I need your help as soon as possible since I bought it through Escrow and have only 3 days for examining before I release the payment. Thanks for any help and I will greatly appreciate it.
