Question about volume on Hitachi Ultravision?

I have a 3 year old Hitachi 50" Ultravision and I have something going on I need help figuring out. On two channels only the volume is very low and you have to turn it up full to hear it. On another TV upstairs it works fine on the two channels in question. What would cause a tv to have volume problems on 2 channels but not the others? Would it be the tuner and maybe it isn't tuned in exactly to the channel? The picture is great no problem
