image flaw, dark vertical bars, about 1/2 spacing

I have DSS giving me an image flaw that really shows up on an empty channel, but can be seen with any dark scene...about 100 vertical bars spaced at just under 1/2 inch. It shows up on both TV's that i've hooked up....anybody have the same problem ?
