I don't know how cheap you are looking for. I bought an Apex 500W at Walmart for $98. I have watched several movies with great results. It also plays vcd, svcd, mp3, cdr, cdrw. Great so far. There is also a web page that gives reviews. www.vcdhelp.com Go to the dvd player list. Good luck!
