Meridian processors are capable of outputting a digital signal, but I think Meridian's processors output a proprietary format that can't be dedon't know if its formatted so that your CDP can handle the volume.

Theta processors might be capable of outputting a digital signal as well.

Also, I'm not sure this will work very well, as your CD player would have to control the volume (as well as the HT processor) and it is likely that the volume steps are not equally matched.

While not impossible, this will be pretty tough to accomplish....
