I have an ES WEGA and some times it just blinks randomly, however what I have found is a remote sending out similar codes or incomplete codes generally causes the problem. I have had some difficulties getting correct codes in to my Marantz RC5000 which appear to be causing the problem.
Keep an eye out when it happens and see if is after you press the buttons on your remote.
It's just a thought.
