27 inch monitors

I'm in the market for a new monitor. 27" is all I need, okay its the biggest I am allowed by my SO . I've searched the web and these are the five I've narrowed it down to:
-Toshiba 27AF41
-JVC 27F702
-Panasonic 27SX11
-Phillips 27RF70S
-Sony 27FS13
Well, you can gather that my price range tops out at around $600us. Also, I will be using it exclusively with vcr/dvd, since I don't watch regular television(which of course means I don't need features like PIP, etc). Does anyone of these standout above the others? Is there a model I missed that is better than the ones I listed?
