to allow recording two channels at the same time. This was done via a software upgrade this week. Will require hooking up two cables to the Satellite dish, one for each "channel". This has to be in response to the Ultimate TV's same capability.
Has anyone tried this out yet?
I still think that TiVO should allow / provide for upgrades to the hard drive capacity of their units. There are sites on the Web which contain instructions for installing a second hard drive. Again, it's another capability that the TiVO units have designed in. Maybe when Ultimate TV, or even Replay comes out with the capability for users to add additional hard drives, TiVO will follow suit.
