I just purchased this dvd player 2 weeks ago and it is one excellent performer. On my 50" high-def ready Toshiba it gives a very impressive progressive scan picture with fantastic flexibility including the ability to scale the picture as well as pan or zoom up and down, at will.

Very pleased with both video and sound quality. Highly recommended.

One note of caution, the build quality is somewhat lacking, the front plastic tray cover fell off immediately, but I was easily able to snap it back on.
