This is a tough answer given the information. What components are you using? Do you use the sub for music?
When you use the high level inputs to a sub and from sub to speaker you loose the advantave of active bi-amping. If you use the processors crossover your amps are only working with the frequencies crossed over. I think the later is the best unless the processor's crossover is not low enough.
