No DVD player is "perfect" at this moment.

Considerations should be made for:
Camelot Roundtable (excellent Redbook CD performance as well) for about US$3995. For an additional US$995 you can get the Anagram 24bit/192K board. No chroma flaw, Silicon Images chipset for de-interlacing.

EAD Theater Vision P (about US$3000) gives you excellent Redbook CD performance sans upsampling, in a package without Chroma flaw utilizing the Silicon Images chipset.


A little further down in price, not necessarily video performance:
Kenwood 5700 5 disc changer at US$1200 is an option. Slow transport, and I haven't heard the DVD-Audio section just yet. I'll have that here soon for a listen.

At bargain basement pricing, the Panasonic RP-56 or Philips Q50 are the contenders.
