First things first.

1) The THX mandated spec for crossover frequency is 80 Hz, with a 12dB slope for the high pass filter to the mains, and a 24dB slope for the low pass filter to the subwoofer. You want a swifter slope on the subwoofer to minimize localization effects out of the lfe channel.

2) The output to the subwoofer (actually the LFE channel) is padded by +10dB in the DD and DTS decoders, not by the analog output stage. Calibrating your subwoofer to a level value with the mains should get you flat response for music.

With respect to bass redirection, I'm not familiar enough with the Marantz receiver you're referencing to have a valid answer. What should happen though, is that the LFE gets redirected evenly across all speakers defined as Large. In your case, this would be front L+R.

One flaw I can see in all this is it looks like you might be duplicating frequencies between the crossover frequency in the subwoofer and the mains. I say this because the path looks like it would be:

Receiver L/R line output --> Jolida Tube Amp
Jolida Tube Amp SW output --> M&K Subwoofer

If there is no filter in the Jolida amp the mains will get a full range signal and the subwoofer will duplicate frequencies below the crossover frequency.

If you choose to implement this configuration I think this would be a better connection path, though you'll spend a lot more in cables....

Receiver L/R line output --> M&K Subwoofer
M&K Subwoofer L/R output --> Jolida amp.

On second thought, I think M&K sells some RCA filters that could be used in conjunction with the subwoofer to work this all out in the end. If that's the case, Bob's your uncle.
