Re: Sony 40XBR700

Welcome to the club. I had my Sony 40XBR700 delivered a few weeks ago. The two giants that delivered the set had a very difficult time lifting it in place. By the way, to those considering purchasing this set, it is very heavy and large. I reinforced my entertainment center. Also, I connected all the inputs before they pushed the set in place. No kidding you won't be able to move this set by yourself. I paid $3300. Picture is great. When plasma gets better and cheaper, I will consider a 60 plasma. For now, this Sony set gives a large crisp picture no black bars. Hey, I like it. My only negative comment is that I believe that the subwoofer is at the back of the set??? Since my set is totally enclosed by the entertainment center, I have lowered the bass to zero to avoid too much boom boom. How about you?
I have connected all my video direct bypassing my processor. Currently have the Pioneer DV09 player waiting for a great progressive scan player to arrive on the scene. The 900ES is about to be upgraded.
