I still cannot make my mind up on this set. When I saw it demo'd at J&R in New York by Sony tech's no less, it was a disaster. Fiddle, fiddle they did and they could not get it to match the Sony 16:9 that was sitting right next to it. They said, with proper set up, it would be fine. The sony tech's didn't have a clue who could do this. Amazing. So, I'm still looking for a store that will provide the set up by professionals, coupled with a 'you take' it back for a full cash refund if I don't like it. I'm here in New Jersey and no one wants to sell me one on those conditions even if I pay list. Just getting it delivered and pick up they all seem to say is a problem. I too plan to build it into a custom cabinet and have all the silver trim painted black. Sony must have their head in the sand when they felt a two tone unit would be great. All HT pros tell me that the background against which a set is shown against makes a big difference. The WF/SO is important for this hugh box.
