If the picture is close to the 36-inch (and I assume it is just as good), you have a great TV. My Sony was perfect when I got it and it has not been adjusted since.
We had a large projection TV and I had a hard time deciding on the smaller screen size. Ultimately, the picture quality won. The 40-inch would have been an easy choice.
