I like the concept of the Outlaw being direct marketed as a better value for the consumer. However in addition to all the other shortcomings mentioned by others, the Outlaw does not have Pro Logic II. Now that for me is a deal breaker because Pro Logic II will allow music surround synthesis in stereo. Previously you would have to buy a Lexicon controller with its excellent Logic 7 software to get the equivalent. Admittedly, stereo surround synthesis for music is an acquired taste but I like being in the middle of a music concert as much as being in the middle of a movie.
