I would add to EdM's comment that, while I own the black myself, the silver (actaully more of a champaign color) looks much better IMO. The black face plate retains some of the champaign trim pieces and they clash a bit compared to how well the face plate of the champaign unit ties together. In either case I don't think you can buy a better DVD player at the moment without spendings thousands more. Sharp and clean with virtually none of processing artifacts that most all other progressive scan players suffer from.
