Jim, the sub in question is a Boston Acoustics PV-600 and it does not have an input toggle. I emailed the company but I'm sure I won't hear back for a little while due to the holidays. I agree with you about not seeing a load, I would think some current would have to flow through the sub's crossover for it to detect the signal ? Will this have any weird effect on the main stereo speakers ? What do you think about just using some 16 AWG zip to go to the sub, since it reallly isn't driving the sub ? It is frustrating to think I can't have my cake and eat it too !
