Re: Star Wars on DVD? (special editions)

I've little doubt that eventually the trilogy will be available on DVD. I've also little doubt that it won't be until Lucasarts reworks it yet again to try to persuade those who forked out for it on VHS and LD to buy it again on DVD. Who knows when this will happen?

If you really can't wait, there are plenty of used Laserdisc players available cheap and you can get a mint used copy of the SE trilogy LD for about $250 on ebay, or less (great deal, no?). The investment in the LD player won't be wasted as there are a ton of great movies on LD that aren't available on DVD, and may never be. I prefer the original Star Wars versions, myself, and got the THX remasters for $10.00 each on LD from Ken Cranes.

Just my 0.02
