Depends on what you read. If you stick with the net, then trouble awaits. I would go & buy a couple of Home Theatre mags, such as Stereophile Guide to Home Theatre. Avoid the renamed Stereo Review. I would read several issues, get a feel for what is happening in the area. My overall impression is that DVD is still in flux, as is Digital/HDTV.
