Watts vs lightning storms

TVs, VCRs, DVD players, Home Theater systems and more.

I am putting together a home theater setup in a new home in Texas. Can anyone advise what the wattage draw is of, say, a Sony 60 inch LCD rear projection TV? I have a PS Audio P600 I might use for protection and filtration, or have to get something with more current capability. BPT? Shunyata? MONSTER? My main concern is lightning damage but a better picture wouldn't hurt...!
