It sounds like it's more likely from physical vibrabations affecting that large, flat. thin screen as opposed to magnetic distortions which would affect the CRT. Also, magnetic distortions tend to be more constant and manifest themselves as color blotches as opposed to changing causing the picture to jump.

Moving the speaker should cure the problem but how far is more a matter of trial and error and, I believe, physicaly decoupling the speaker and screen.
