Madrigal/Proceed AVP-S Problem

I have a Proceed AVP-S that I would like to update to the last software version for that unit (3.32). I have the software to download, but I don't have the adapter to connect a serial cable to the RS-232 input of the Proceed. I live in a somewhat rural area and Radio Shack doesn't carry all of the parts needed to assemble my own adapter. HSG wants over $100 dollars for the adapter which fits both Madrigal and Proceed units. Does anyone know of a current or former Proceed or Madrigal dealer in Wisconsin, Minnesota, or northern Illinois?
