LCD Projector Problem

This problem may be an easy one, but a new one for me so I don't know where to begin.
I have a Mitsubishi XL25 LCD projector and just encountered (out of nowhere) a situation where I am receiving a B&W image from any "video" source which includes VCR and cable television. I also have a DVD player and computer providing images and they are still in color and perfectly normal.
I made no changes via the menu system and the problem did not follow any changes of cables or anything else. It just began without warning.
The only "video" input I use is the S-video input since I have always used an SVHS VCR and do not use the composite/RCA input at all.
Any insights or guidance will be greatly appreciated.
