Thank you !

Whew!, and I was going bonkers thinking I had probably completely forgotten how to properly record using a VCR ! It has been years since I recorded anything on that VCR---the last thing I recorded was one of the last episodes of the X-Files back in 2001 ! ---But I was disappointed that I couldn't share the hysterical and filthy comical antics of comic Lisa Lampanelli from Comedy Central with my relatives at their house...Oh well...

I did manage to go back into the VCR menu settings and was able to shut off the Super VHS ET recording circuitry(which allows for that option)---so that it will record in VHS regular/standard mode in case I decide to play a tape on another VCR (non-S-VHS compatible)--------I hope that does the trick ! Were you ever given that option on yours and if so, did that work?? Just curious.

Thanks so much for your info, and time MediaSeth ! ...

Matt67Bianco

P.S.---was also curious about those VCRs marked SQPB---Super Quasi Play Back----can only play back S-VHS encoded tapes but not record in S-VHS mode, only regular VHS, wow-----thanks for that clarification also :-)
