IR in closet

Hello all!
OK I mounted my LCD on a wall. Hiding wires was easy since the other side of the wall is a closet. Now I just got a cable box to receive HD. I like the clean look of just the TV w/o wires and components.
Is there any way to put the box in the closet and control it with the remote? Is there such a product that would have an "eye" that I can put in the wall with a connection to the cable box?
