Home Video Asylum

TVs, VCRs, DVD players, Home Theater systems and more.

Update........................

Well, it would have been almost impossible to fool with the existing romex without a lot of work. So what I came up with is simply plugging the TV into an outlet that is hooked into my main panel. And the hum disappeared.

The problem may lie in that the romex to the audio/video gear is running parallel for about 15 feet from the sub-panel. The only noise producer seems to be the new TV - The old TV did not do it. I may just live with the slight hum. I measured the hum at the throat of my Horn and it only measures around 45 db, so I may not let it bother me. Most of time when I'm listening to the stereo the TV is off anyway.

Thanks for your help!
