Sorry for the confusion but I was speaking of the HDTV version. That and the EDTV variant both end with "60u" so I guess the confusion was unavoidable.

EDTV is as dead as a doornail and I'm even surprised to find that they're still sold. They're OK for watching DVD's but that's about it. For $200-300 more you get the HD version of whatever you're looking at.

The price for the HD 60u is now around $1270 if you shop around. Positively an amazing price for admission into a top name brand plasma HD set.
