mutiple video connections to 1080i crt

I have updated my display to a 34 widescreen crt by Sony. It has an
HDMI input and 2 component video inputs. My dvdplayer has the three
colour component output. The second is a HTPC with an ATI Radeon 850
Pro video card. The video card has a DVI output as well as a three
colour component output (along side the vga). Am I better off using
its component adapter to cables or using some form of DVI to HDMI
adapter and going to the HDMI input straight with a DVI-HDMI cable via the video cards DVI output.Any opinions welcome !
