Power Factor Correction in AC Filter

I am building a 220 V AC Filter using commercially available noise filter; "Nemic Lambda 10 A". Could you advise if there is a need to add in a large capacitor say 10uf between the Live and Neutral.
What would be function of this power correction?
and would it cause current to be out of phase with voltage?
Please also advise on the Voltage of such a capacitor for 220V mains.
