I got another look at the htm1 this past saturday and wanted to correct a misconception that I had stated earlier. I thought the bass drivers on the htm1 were 7 inches wide, however, it was pointed out to me that they are only 6.5 inches wide which means my suggestion that the htm1 is basically an 803 on its side was wrong. Rather, it is basically an 804 on its side. It does not go quite as low as the 804 as its an enclosed design as opposed to a vented design.
However, my original observations remain the same. Namely, that I have never heard any center convey more of an authentic sounding low bass presence on voice (ie Sean Connery & James E Jones.) This speaker is a lot of fun...
