grounding cable tv feed ? what's yours look like?

208.253.11.30

the cable tv feed in to my home goes to a splitter which has a ground "hole and screw". This connection is made with a 10 or 12 AWG solid core copper wire to a screw which holds the metal cover on the electrical service pannel. This was installed by the Surbruban Cable TV company (ha!).

Does anyone have anything worse than this? I mean that was "professionaly installed"?

By the way, the 200 amp electrical pannel is grounded with 3/8 inch aluminum wire to a brass clamp on the copper water main feed where it enters the basement. (aluminum oxide is way up on the electromotive series, don't you think?)

I understand cable tv reception is far inferior to a pair of "rabbit
ears", but is there any wonder why?

Anyone out there upgrade their cable feed/ ground system? Please direct me to archive threads, I'm a newbie here. Also interested in dumping the cable for the pizza dish network.
