RE: The change in her looks . . .

Chris Pine crosses time and eternity while WW saves the planet from an ancient curse/god?

It's a Monkey's Paw story - an artifact grants wishes but at a cost. WW wishes for Chris Pine to live again - He comes back in a new body - she sees him but everyone else sees the guy he is inhabiting.

I would not say it was terrible - but the story is something I have seen on TV when I was a kid - oh that's right "The Monkey's Paw."

"Terrible" is Aquaman (1.5/10) - WW84 was "mediocre" - (Granted the bottom - very bottom half of mediocre). The weird thing was the effects were middling considering the cost of the movie. Also poor editing. 3.5/10

I am pretty forgiving of these movies because they're not for us - they're for kids. The mistake is treating them as "adult" films. So when I watch these kinds of things I try to say - hey I'd probably like it if I were 9 and didn't already see multiple versions of the Monkey's Paw story many times over the years.

As an adult Bill Maher is correct about comic book movies.
