'Jurassic World: Rebirth'

Posted by Billy Wonka on July 8, 2025 at 22:59:42:

Spoiler Alert #1: Creature Feature (not much else)

Spoiler Alert #2: Johannson is now Post-Op (except for the tight t-shirts).

Scarlett must have been ready to break out as a male action star this go around. There was hardly an angle that didn't erase her feminine qualities. She does not compete against the CGI scenery at all.

The plot is the usual. Greedy types must collect fresh DNA from three specific species to create drugs that will eliminate all heart disease on the planet. Most start honestly, then some make a predictable turn, thinking only of the immense wealth at the end of the rainbow.

Yes, a few people get chomped, and you cheer for it. There is a side story running through the film that includes all the stereotypical characters that make light fiction churn.

If you like Jurassic stuff, then you will go. But go with disappointment on your sleeve or don't go at all.

Irony, Ed Skrein was playing a baddy at the beginning of the film and had almost no lines. Then, he was suddenly chomped. I presume his character didn't test well, and they yanked him out by killing him off.
