What is going on with Youtube premium content???

They announced you could watch premium content like 'Cobra Kai' (great show, btw) with commercials.

I read article about how Youtube was doing this - not hiding premium content behind a paywall, but putting in commercials instead. Now I've watched the first nine episodes of 'Cobra Kai' but when I try to watch episode 10 it tells me to sign up for premium.

Sign up? Youtube has officially announced the premium paywall is going away and you can watch shows (only with commercials).

So what is the deal with Youtube these days?
