-----> but man, as a film it is so far below par it is ridiculous <-----You forgot to add "In my opinion."
An opinion, no matter how popularly held, is not a fact.
Incidentally, I think most BAT gear sucks, but just my opinion, not a fact.

Yo yo, WE understand that what we says is " only " in our opinions, we do not need to carry a sign to know that. There is no trace of absolutism here, and if, only in your mind.
Must you be rude?
Are you a shy boy ?

A good vintage Port, is what I will indulge myself tonight..But still have made no choice on what to vision tonight.
Bon plaisir!
PS: This morning after waking up I tought of Renoir´s " The Rules..." and I found a mistake in is view of the society of the bourgoisie at the time.
It seems that is had the idea that ( what was right then and still is today ) than the upperclass tend to protect themself ( noblesse & bourgoiesie) beyond the fact of religion ( in this case being Jewish )
But it was not the case as 1939 told us the lection.
You see my point?

Did you have the disc set where Renoir himself made an introduction? That was interesting too. Please clarify your point... I am off to view the second DVD.

You know, me and documentary on films...Yes I have the " Criterion " I will have the entire look at somewhere later.I meant that Renoir in the film, show us that the uper class was able to protect itself..Remember " it was an accident...That the way they could handle the situation, beetwen people of wealth and " good compagny " and well borned.
They even accept a Jew ( money ) ( long scene with the cook ) So Renoir tell us that beeing in this class is " protective ".
But he failed to mention ( 1939 ) that the Nazi would not take any consideration..
In all europe it was of common knowledge that the noble without a penny married some rich Jews, to have the ressource they needed.
Money did justify the " mesalliance " due to anti-semitisme.
