This is a ? for any of the Rotel Pre/Proc with 5.1 input (970,980,976,985) :
Do the 5.1 channel inputs allow for speaker level and delay adjustment?

The manuals are somewhat vague, the RSP985 manual being most explicit in stating that the 5.1 input is routed directly to the Master Volume control and outputs.

I was thinking of picking up a 980 cheap to try with a DVD player with built in DD/DTS decoding, but this would make it much less attractive. The same I guess for using the 5.1 inputs on any Pre/Proc for an SACD/DVD-A player that lacks individual level adjustment.
