...but when you're working on a tight budget and short shooting schedule you get creative. The trailer for Lucy looks interesting and has an impressive cast. Scarlet's role in CA2 The Winter Solder should carry over to this film. The FX looks great, but every big budget film has first class effects these days. If Lucy is scripted intelligently and the actors sell their roles it should be solid box office entertainment.
As an aside, Scarlet J looks great in physically demanding roles, but subjectively speaking Amber Benson is much sexier. Then again, I'm biased. lol

I think she's got the necessary physical attributes and the acting skills needed to have a long career as a supporting actress and the occasional lead. There are those hard to quantify qualities that have worked time and again for those actors who rise to the top in Hollywood. Charisma. Camera likes her. Screen presence. Box office sales. It's all there for Scarlett.
If not a classic beauty, she's: Athletic. Sexy. Sassy. Maybe even dangerous. Plays intelligent characters often enough. It works for her.
It works for me.
One other thing. She's 29. So what is it that has a forum full of over-the-hill old men drooling over her? Lost youth?

And I'm a big Scarlett J. fan, totally digging her portrayal of the Black Widow in the Avengers movies! Lucy looks like it'll be a great summertime diversion...

I think Patrick carries his Kuro anywhere he goes... just in case.

Can't make up my mind - a sheep or a cow. Both very kind animals, but not too intellectual.
She has a subconscious raw appeal radiating the ideal fecund female.
the healthy looking woman as the ideal.
Enough with the emaciated, bony, anorexic, boy-like "stars."
I don't mind a little of the animalistic. Gina, Anita, Marilyn, Jane---- women that looked like they could willingly take on the weight of a man. The newer variety? They look like they'd be fatally injured by a healthy romp.
Ghost World is a little gem and Lost In Translation a big one.
in many more ways than the apparent one which frequently causes my mouth to water..
Looks like it has way more potential than that POS "The Island"
In addition to the films mentioned, she was superb in "Hitchcock" and "Match Point".

The other one, Lucy, looks like a remake of La Femme Nikita and The Fly.

...something else will be rising...
"When a strange and unclassifiable beast walks into the world, the public has a tendency to split down the middle. One camp is beguiled and the other repulsed. Such is the experience of the vampiric space alien played by Scarlett Johansson in Under the Skin, and so it is with the film itself. Jonathan Glazer's extraordinary piece of outsider art – the director's first feature since 2004's Birth – was greeted at Venice by an even split of cheering and boos.
A pox on the cat-callers; they can boo themselves hoarse. Under the Skin is far and away the best picture in the competition so far: a story that plays as a kind of malarial dream, bathed in cold sweat and seeing hallucinations in every corner. Johansson proves bizarrely engrossing as the unnamed succubus, fetchingly augmented with jet-black hair and blood-red lipstick, who drives a van around Scotland in search of her prey."

The trailer referred to the director of Skin as the new Kubrick. Besides, and more importantly, Scarlet appears naked, I understand. Guess I'll have to sit through the whole thing to find out.
Take Species, update it, add some bits of 5th Element to it, make it look overdone like many modern films...
She's OK, pretty, but not by any means a fan.
Just another Luc Besson smash and grab.
"With the help of a mysterious pill that enables the user to access 100 percent of his brain abilities, a struggling writer becomes a financial wizard, but it also puts him in a new world with lots of dangers."
Though never saw it. I'd rather see how the 100% affects SJ than BC any day.
