The end of 2017 brings lists film critics consider the best films. I have linked to one source. What films make your list?
Follow Ups:
...#7 is Mother which I talked about above.
Wind River, it was a very good year for the movies.
"Once this was all Black Plasma and Imagination" -Michael McClure
That is my best of the year film also. I am in the same situation having not seen very many contenders. I did see Baby Driver and The Big Sick. A couple films mentioned as contenders. I didn't think either to be really excellent films.
Just a social justice rehash of an old story told before. I didn't see the comedy part of the film.
You see a lot of films. What would be your top three at this point?
'Three Billboards', 'Darkest Hour', and probably something I haven't seen yet . . .
For me, this has been a bad year.
I will see both. It looks like Oldman nails the part. McDormand as well.

Nincompoop
Think she liked it a little more than I did, but I'd still give it a passing grade.
...I agree with the Top 5 - I haven't seen the others.
My wife loved #6, Coco.
Ladybird isn't in the Top Ten but is the best reviewed - I haven't seen it yet since Star Wars took over the multiplexes.
Phantom Thread and The Post aren't out yet here - have to wait until Star Wars diminishes.
I guess I'm not family friendly. Plus some 2+ something was running her yap while her Millennial Mom sat stoically by.
