I'm getting a Pioneer plasma and will connect it to a warner hd cable box/dvr with a hdmi cable that will be from Monoprice. It will be 8 - 10 feet long. Do I want ferrite cores or not? What are the pros/cons of the ferrite cores?
Thanks Much!
Chris
Follow Ups:
At the connectors, the cores help cut down on RFI radiation. If you have CE products that are sensitive to RFI, the non-core version may cause some minor interference. Why take the chance and be pissed if that's the case? You're buying from monoprice.com, so you're already getting a great deal on the cables. Don't cheap out -- buy the ones with the cores.
