A short but delightful Mae West tour de force, totally memorable, so much so that young Cary Grant hardly stood a chance. :)

At 66 minutes long it will fit between your cocktails and main course, but make sure you serve a fine champagne with it.

Continuing with the hunt for the best Thirties, the 1937 "Nothing Sacred" with Carole Lombard is Fredric March is also a delight.

I've NEVER understood the appeal! Cary Grant however, will always be my hero/idol!

Her rendition of Frankie and Johnny in that film is superb (nt), posted on April 7, 2019 at 05:00:26

I've told you there is a way to appreciate modern cinema. Tune your screen to B&W, turn off the volume, and turn on closed caption. Wah-lah, instant way back cinema.

Goes great with sardines and beer.

Sounds good. Should I also limit my series to one episode? nt, posted on April 8, 2019 at 05:11:00
